The feel of this Vera Bradley tartan plaid pullover is amazing! The listing states it’s fleece, but I’d classify it as more of a curly knit boucle fabric. The outside is super, fuzzy-soft and the inside feels luxurious against my skin. There’s a pocket opening on each side, which is actually one large concealed pocket, similar to a kangaroo pocket. The interior of the pocket is the same soft fabric as the outside of the pullover. The colors in the cotton tartan plaid are colorful and bold. The quilted tartan plaid yokes on each side of the placket were sewn so the plaid pattern is mirrored, which indicates a high quality garment to me. The cuffs and hem are neatly finished with a matching navy blue bias tape. The perfectly color coordinated zipper functions effortlessly. The quality of this pullover is exceptional in every way.In determining the correct size, I used the provided size chart. I typically wear either a small or medium. In this case, I thought I could probably wear a small, but wasn’t sure if I’d be able to comfortably wear a shirt under it. Hence, I chose to go with a medium for the extra layering room. Upon receiving the pullover, I tried it on for fit. There is more than enough room for a turtleneck, a mock neck shirt, or a thin sweater, making me wonder if a small might’ve even worked. As for length, the sleeves come down past the break in my wrist and the hem of the pullover comes down far enough to cover my behind…just barely. The “fleece” (curly knit boucle) typically doesn’t shrink, but I immediately laundered it, as I do with all new clothing. I turned it inside out and washed it in cold on the gentle cycle with other similar care garments. Then I draped it over a rack and allowed it to dry completely. It did get fluffed in the dryer on warm with some like items, a damp rag and my ‘dryer angel’, to give it a fresh scent. The pullover wasn’t subjected to hot heat, so there was no reason the top should’ve shrunk. The Vera Bradley pullover looks and fits exactly the same as it did before the laundering process. My one and only minor issue is that the collar around the neck stands up and is a bit stiff. Sometimes pullover necklines will open up and lie flat, but the zipper on this prevents the collar from laying down in the front. It’s certainly not a dealbreaker, as there’s so many good qualities that outweigh that. I’m not a fan of winter, but I’m looking forward to some colder days when I can wear this. It’s such a classy looking top, with quality details. All four of the color choices were pretty, but I was immediately drawn to the navy blue with the tartan plaid. If my bank account and personal closet could handle it, I’d purchase the three other colors as well. If you’re on the fence about this, you have no worries. Just follow the size chart, choose your favorite color(s) and I’m pretty sure you’ll be happy when you get it.For reference, my measurements are:Height - 5’4”Bust - 36”Waist - 30”Arm length - 22.5”Shoulder width - 15”Weight - 115#
